Hilton has opened reservations for the Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch ahead of its autumn opening. This luxury hotel and residence occupies a historic monument located on The Mall, directly opposite Buckingham Palace.

Restoring a Grade I Listed Landmark

The project transforms Admiralty Arch, a Grade I listed monument, into a luxury destination. This status means the building is of exceptional national importance. Because of these protections, the restoration required complex logistical planning. Architects and engineers had to work within strict heritage regulations to preserve the original masonry and structural integrity.

Reuben Brothers led the restoration. Their philosophy focuses on preserving the architecture, craftsmanship, and character of the building for future generations. The team worked with historians and conservation experts to ensure the monument remains intact. This meticulous approach allowed the developers to modernize the interior without compromising the historic fabric of Sir Aston Webb’s design.

Accommodations and Interior Design

The hotel has 114 rooms, suites, and residences. More than half of the total inventory consists of large residential and signature suites. The interior design maintains the original architecture. The rooms use names that reflect the naval history of the site. These names include the Nelson Suite, the St James’s Residence, and the Victory Residence, which is named after the HMS Victory.

The grand ballroom contains a nine-meter antique Murano chandelier. Artisans specifically restored this piece in Rome for the opening. For travelers arriving via London Heathrow Airport (LHR), the hotel provides immediate access to the ceremonial heart of London.

Michelin-Led Culinary Destinations

The hotel serves as a culinary destination through partnerships with two renowned chefs. The dining program includes two distinct concepts led by Clare Smyth MBE and Daniel Boulud.

Clare Smyth will bring her fine dining concept, Coreus, to the former home of the First Sea Lord. Her culinary style focuses on British seasonal ingredients and sustainable seafood. She is also introducing an intimate Whiskey & Seaweed bar. This bar draws inspiration from her famous Potato and Roe dish. It serves a curated selection of UK whiskies alongside a specialized cocktail and wine program.

On the rooftop, guests can visit Café Boulud. This all-day dining restaurant marks the return of Daniel Boulud to the London dining scene. His style brings sophisticated French culinary traditions to a variety of meal periods. The restaurant includes a rooftop terrace. This area provides views of St James’s Park and Buckingham Palace. The menu covers breakfast, pastries, afternoon tea, and dinner.
