New IHG Hotel in India Announced for Jim Corbett

IHG Hotels & Resorts and United Hospitality Management have signed the Garner Hotel Jim Corbett. This 50-room property is the sixth Garner signing in India. The deal expands IHG’s presence in high-potential leisure destinations across the country.

Property Overview and Brand Identity

The Garner Hotel Jim Corbett is a 50-key property in the Jim Corbett region. United Hospitality Management will manage the hotel. Garner is a distinct brand in the IHG portfolio. While Holiday Inn Express focuses on standardized, efficient stays, Garner targets leisure travelers. This brand allows guests to spend more of their budget on local experiences instead of luxury hotel amenities. Garner positions itself in the midscale and upper-midscale segment. This provides a consistent standard for international tourists and domestic travelers who might otherwise choose independent lodges.

Travel Logistics and Seasonality

Jim Corbett is a major destination for wildlife safaris. Most visitors fly into Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) in Delhi and then drive to the national park. Travelers should plan visits around the local climate. The park often faces restrictions or closures during the monsoon season. The best months for wildlife viewing are between November and June when the weather is drier.

Maximizing Your Stay with IHG One Rewards

Once the hotel opens, guests can earn and redeem points through the IHG One Rewards program. These points are worth approximately 0.5 to 0.6 cents each. You can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to IHG at a 1:1 ratio to fund your stay.

The loyalty program includes specific benefits for award bookings. IHG allows unlimited point top-offs on free night certificates. This differs from Marriott, which caps top-offs at 25,000 points. IHG also offers a fourth night free on award stays. This is a different frequency than the fifth-night-free offers at Hilton or Marriott. While Hyatt has a smaller portfolio, IHG’s larger footprint provides more options. Members can also use the IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card to build balances more quickly.

Travelers who plan a safari should monitor the IHG reservation portal for opening dates to secure early-bird rates or use existing points before potential seasonal price hikes.
