Fresca Returns to Delta Flights This Summer

Delta is bringing back Fresca and updating its snack lineup. Learn how T-Mobile and Amex customers can score free in-flight treats this summer.

Fresca Returns to Delta Flights This Summer

Delta Air Lines is rolling out several Delta in-flight beverage and snack updates this summer, headlined by the return of a fan-favorite soda and new complimentary perks for T-Mobile and American Express customers.

New Drink and Snack Details

Starting July 1, Delta will refresh its onboard selection with the following changes:

  • Fresca Soda: Returning to the beverage cart as a standard option.
  • Rold Gold Tiny Twists Original Pretzels: This is the new complimentary snack, which replaces SunChips Garden Salsa flavored whole grain snacks.
  • Existing Snack Options: The lineup also includes Cheez-It Original Baked Snack Crackers, Lotus Biscoff Cookies, and MadeGood Chocolate Chip Organic Chewy Granola Bars.

Free Perks for T-Mobile and Amex Cardholders

Delta is using these Delta in-flight beverage and snack updates to lean harder into its partnership ecosystem. If you are a T-Mobile customer, you can now unlock one complimentary premium drink on most flights longer than 350 miles within the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. To get this, you must link your SkyMiles account through the T-Life app at least 24 hours before your flight. Once you are onboard, the benefit appears on the Delta Sync Wi-Fi homepage.

Delta SkyMiles American Express Card Members also have a new way to save. Through October 31, 2026, cardholders can claim one free premium snack—specifically Pringles Grab & Go Original Crisps, Dot’s Original Seasoned Pretzels, or NERDS Gummy Clusters—on select flights longer than 900 miles. You redeem this by logging into the Delta Sync Wi-Fi and selecting the offer under the Delta Amex tab.

These perks add incremental value to the Delta SkyMiles program, which remains one of the most robust loyalty ecosystems in North America. Unlike some competitors, SkyMiles do not expire, and the program offers a high level of flexibility through its partnership with American Express. You can transfer Amex Membership Rewards points to SkyMiles at a 1:1 ratio, which is a significant advantage for travelers looking to book high-value award flights. While Delta uses dynamic pricing—meaning award costs fluctuate based on demand rather than a fixed chart—the inclusion of these small, tangible partner benefits makes the premium-leaning experience feel more rewarding compared to the basic service offered by carriers like Southwest.

From an editorial perspective, these changes are a smart move for Delta. While a new pretzel or a soda return might seem minor, the real value lies in the partnership perks. For T-Mobile and Amex users, these small wins help offset the higher costs often associated with flying a full-service carrier. The snack change is a lateral move, but the ability to snag a premium drink or a specific snack like NERDS Gummy Clusters via a digital portal is a frictionless way to improve a long flight.

If you are a T-Mobile customer, link your SkyMiles account in the T-Life app today to ensure your drink benefit is active before your next summer trip.
