JetBlue is opening a second BlueHouse lounge at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) on August 27, 2026. Located in Terminal C, the new space also marks an expansion of complimentary lounge access to all passengers traveling on Mint or Mint Flex fares.
Inside the New Boston BlueHouse Lounge
The 12,000-square-foot space is designed to feel like a New England home. The airline uses local partnerships to define the experience instead of the generic snack bars found in many domestic lounges.
Food and drink options include North Shore roast beef sliders and crab and shrimp rolls. The beverage program has cocktails from Jackson Cannon of the Boston bar Equal Measure, specialty coffee from George Howell Coffee, and craft beers from The Publick House. For travelers with a sweet tooth, a “Candy Closet” provides custom candy bags from Madeleine’s Candy Shop.
Design elements throughout the lounge reflect the history of the region. The Neighborhood Bar has a “Nantucket Blue” wood-slatted ceiling and copper finishes. For travelers who need to work, the Library Workspace has furniture and lighting modeled after the Boston Public Library. The lounge also includes a mural by local author and illustrator Richard Scarry, which features characters from his “Busy World” series.
One of the main attractions is The Dugout. This game room is inspired by local sports culture and includes interactive gaming stations and communal seating areas where travelers can watch sports on large screens.
Key features of the new lounge include:

- Dedicated quiet areas and private rooms for virtual meetings.

Terminal C Layout and Connectivity
The lounge is located in Terminal C, which is the primary hub for JetBlue operations at BOS. This terminal is connected to the rest of Logan Airport through a system of climate-controlled walkways and airside shuttles. Once travelers pass through the security checkpoints in Terminal C, they can access the lounge via the main terminal concourses. Because Terminal C is the center of JetBlue’s Boston presence, the lounge is positioned to serve a high volume of departing passengers.
Accessing the BlueHouse Lounge
JetBlue is changing how passengers access the lounge. The airline is expanding complimentary access to all customers traveling on confirmed Mint or Mint Flex fares. This change makes the lounge a standard part of the premium cabin experience for both domestic and international travelers.
This move helps JetBlue compete with legacy carriers like Delta Air Lines and United Airlines. Delta and United typically gate their lounge access behind high-tier elite status or specific premium credit cards. JetBlue’s model focuses on the fare class, which provides a more direct path to lounge access for premium passengers.
The Mint Base Trade-off
While JetBlue is expanding access, it is also introducing a new fare tier called Mint Base. This tier is a lower-cost option for the Mint seat, but it lacks several premium benefits.
For example, if a Mint Flex ticket costs $1,200 and a Mint Base ticket costs $950, the $250 savings comes with specific restrictions. Travelers on Mint Base fares lose the following:
- No complimentary BlueHouse lounge access.
- No advanced seat selection.
- Higher fees for changes or cancellations.
This creates a distinction between a full premium experience and a budget version of a premium seat.
TrueBlue Loyalty and Guest Access
Access for TrueBlue loyalty members remains tiered based on status and credit card ownership. The current access policy is:
- Mosaic 4 members: Complimentary access with one guest.
- JetBlue Premier cardmembers: Complimentary access with one guest.
- Mint and Mint Flex customers: Complimentary access.
- Additional guests: A $39 fee per guest.
- Mosaic 1-3 and JetBlue Plus/Business cardmembers: Can purchase a one-time pass for $59 to $79, depending on the tier.
What to Do If You Are Flying Soon
If you have a flight scheduled for late August 2026, check your fare class on the JetBlue website. If you are on a Mint or Mint Flex fare, you will have access to the BlueHouse lounge starting August 27. If you are flying on a Mint Base fare, you can still visit the lounge by purchasing a one-time pass at the door.
The Trade-off: Premium Comfort vs. Mint Base Savings
The expansion of lounge access to all Mint passengers adds real value to that fare. It makes the ticket a more competitive choice for travelers heading to Europe or high-end domestic destinations.
However, the introduction of Mint Base is a double-edged sword. While it lowers the price of a lie-flat seat, it removes the amenities that define a luxury trip. If you want the full lounge experience, you should book Mint or Mint Flex. If you only want the seat and want to save money, Mint Base is an option, but you should not expect to relax in the BlueHouse before your flight.
