New Hyatt Hotel in Cary, NC: Hive House Opens
Hyatt has opened Hive House in Cary, North Carolina. This opening marks the brand’s debut in the Research Triangle area.
A Historic Return to Cary Hospitality
CMC Hotels founder G.S. Chhabra opened Cary’s first branded hotel at this site in 1984. This new Hyatt property returns a branded experience to a location that was central to the city’s growth 40 years ago. “The site is set to make hospitality history again,” Chhabra said.
Strategic Location Near RDU Airport
The hotel is near Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). It is positioned to serve the growing tech and biotech sectors in the Research Triangle. This region is a global hub for research and development. As more firms establish headquarters in Cary, the demand for high-quality business lodging increases. The local economy benefits from this influx of corporate travel. Hyatt is an additional choice for travelers in the area.
Business and Leisure Accommodations
The property includes modern meeting rooms and a fitness center. These facilities cater to the needs of corporate travelers. The hotel is designed for both business and leisure guests. The layout supports large-scale conferences and small private meetings. Because the Research Triangle is a major destination for biotechnology conferences, these amenities are essential. Hive House adds more inventory to the local market.
Maximizing World of Hyatt Rewards
World of Hyatt members have specific advantages at this property. Points are worth about 1.7 cents each. This value is higher than Marriott Bonvoy points, which are worth roughly 0.8 cents. You can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio. Hyatt uses a category-based award chart from Category 1 to Category 8. Check the specific category for Hive House before you book. This is useful if you have Category 1-4 or Category 1-7 free night certificates from a credit card. Hyatt does not offer a point top-off feature. You must have the full amount required for your award stay in your account at the time of booking. Globalist members also receive perks such as suite upgrades, club access, free parking, and late checkout.
