New Luxury Bungalows Debut in Miches
Experience ultimate seclusion with new luxury oceanfront bungalows in Miches, Dominican Republic. Discover the latest Curio Collection by Hilton upgrade.
New Luxury Bungalows Debut in Miches
Zemi Miches Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton, has introduced 16 new luxury oceanfront bungalows in the Dominican Republic. These private beachfront sanctuaries are available in Studio Suite and Two-Bedroom Suite layouts, providing direct access to the golden sands of Playa Esmeralda.
Inside the New Suites
The new accommodations represent the most intimate tier of the resort, which sits on the shores of Miches. Each bungalow includes a private plunge pool and oversized soaking tubs. The design uses island-inspired interiors to match the natural surroundings of the coast.
For travelers moving in larger groups, the Two-Bedroom Suite provides more space than the Studio King option. Both layouts include large indoor and outdoor living areas. The suites are designed to give guests a sense of seclusion while staying within the larger all-inclusive ecosystem of the property.
Manuela Fahringer, the general manager at Zemi Miches Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton, explained that today’s travelers want privacy without compromise. Fahringer stated that the bungalows were designed to offer a private oceanfront retreat where guests can experience elevated service and the natural rhythm of Miches in an exclusive setting.
What the Luxury Oceanfront Bungalows Dominican Republic Experience Includes
Staying in a bungalow grants access to all Club Azure privileges. This includes private check-in and check-out, a dedicated butler service, and access to a Club Azure concierge. Guests also receive nightly turndown service and premium Wi-Fi.
Dining and drinking options are a major part of the upgrade. Bungalow guests have exclusive access to Jagua, a private dining venue with an ocean-inspired menu and fresh seafood served in a jungle-inspired setting. For drinks, guests can visit Caicu, an intimate indoor cocktail bar located within the lounge, or the Hidden Locker, a speakeasy-style venue that serves premium cocktails.
The Royal Palm serves as the central hub for these guests. This exclusive lounge overlooks Playa Esmeralda and provides access to an adults-only rooftop infinity pool and a whirlpool. The lounge also includes the Royal Palm Poolside Bar, a rooftop venue for handcrafted cocktails with panoramic ocean views. Other accessible venues include Carey, the Club Azure swim-up bar.
Wellness is integrated into the stay through one complimentary 50-minute massage per adult. Guests also have access to hydrotherapy and special offers at the 16,000-square-foot Acana Spa & Wellness, which uses ancestral Dominican healing traditions.
Beyond the room, the resort provides cultural programming. These include organic chocolate workshops, rum tastings, and Taíno-inspired ceremonies. For families, the resort maintains existing amenities like the Palmchat Teens Club and the Coki Cove kids’ program.
Hilton Honors and the All-Inclusive Landscape
Because this property is part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, guests can earn and redeem points through the Hilton Honors program. This is a significant advantage for travelers who frequent Hilton brands like Waldorf Astoria or Conrad.
While the per-point value of Hilton Honors is generally lower than programs like World of Hyatt, the sheer number of properties makes it a versatile currency. Hilton Honors members can also use points for stays or transfer them via partners like American Express Membership Rewards.
One specific benefit for those staying at the bungalow level is the ease of booking. If you book directly through the resort website, you receive complimentary roundtrip VIP airport transfers between Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) and the resort. This removes the logistical stress of arranging private transport from PUJ, which is about 90 minutes away.
When comparing this to other luxury all-inclusive options in the Caribbean, the Curio Collection approach is different. While many all-inclusive resorts focus on high-volume crowds, the Curio brand focuses on individuality. This makes the Miches location a better choice for travelers who find the main Punta Cana hotel strips too crowded or commercialized.
The Bottom Line
These bungalows are a strong option for couples or small families who want the convenience of an all-inclusive resort without the typical crowd noise. The inclusion of private plunge pools and dedicated butler service justifies the likely premium price point. The main catch is the limited availability; with only 16 bungalows, these will likely book up well in advance of peak travel seasons. If you want seclusion in the Dominican Republic, this is a worthwhile upgrade to watch.
